Getting Started

AAA observed the need to pull together information about potential solutions to common problems often faced by judges, prosecutors, probation officers and law enforcement as a drunken driver moves through the criminal justice system. Most of the information presented herein was produced by government agencies, universities, and professional associations serving criminal justice professionals. On your behalf, AAA has compiled resources including, but not limited to scientific research reports, case studies, and state laws.

We realize that criminal justice professionals are extremely busy and have limited time to conduct this type of research, so we have done the work for you. These resources are organized and presented on this Web site - the information clearinghouse we call AAA DUI JusticeLink: A Resource to Help Reduce Drunken Driving.

There are several ways to get started:

  • Choose from the menu on the left to learn more about the challenges faced by actors in the criminal justice system related to impaired driving.
  • Choose from the menu at the top of the page to begin reviewing facts, statistics, state laws and other content.
